Recognition Requirements
Within the Toastmaster program, there are many
levels of achievements. Below is a clickable diagram of the
communication and leadership tracks and to its right is a list of
achievements, which can be navigated.
Those of you who were members of Toastmasters prior to the
announcement of the new program (November 2005) will notice many
changes in the program, These changes were officially instituted
July 1,2006 by Toastmasters International in order to give its
membership a much more in-depth approach in gaining proper skills
within the realms of communication and leadership. Please note, as of Oct., 2011 no further updates have been, or will be made to this page as such any changes / modifications to the educational system will not be noted.

When you join Toastmasters you will be given the opportunity to learn and grow at your own pace, participate fully within the meetings of your club and even make arrangements to visit and / or participate within virtually any Toastmaster club in the world, if you so desire. You will receive your communication and leadership manual consisting of 10 speech projects and be given the opportunity to run for and hold office within your Club, District, Region, etc... You will soon discover that the wealth of knowledge and opportunity offered by Toastmasters is only limited by your desire to grow and learn. Your CC, CL or DTM status need not be the end all or be all. You can complete each segment of the Toastmasters program as often as you would like and each time you do there is more to learn, new ways of viewing your skills and continual self-improvements that can be made.

Television presentations differ from other presentations, and they require special considerations. With this manual, you'll learn to present editorials, appear as a guest on a "talk" show, conduct a press conference, and use television to train.

To become an Advanced Communicator Gold (ACG) you must have
earned the Advanced Communicator Silver (ACS) award
completed two Advanced Communication Series (may not be those completed for the ACB or ACS award)
conducted a registered Success/Leadership Program, Success/Communication Program or a registered Youth Leadership Program
coached a new member with their first three speech projects

COMMUNICATING ON TELEVISION
Television presentations differ from other presentations, and they require special considerations. With this manual, you’ll learn to present editorials, appear as a guest on a "talk" show, conduct a press conference, and use television to train.
HUMOROUSLY SPEAKING
Audiences love to laugh. This manual shows you how to use humorous stories and jokes throughout your speech to grab and keep listeners’ attention and illustrate your points. You also learn how to give an entirely humorous speech.
INTERPERSONAL COMMUNICATIONS
Topics covered include conversing with ease, negotiating, handling criticism, coaching someone to improved performance, and expressing dissatisfaction effectively.
INTERPRETIVE READING
This manual will help you develop your interpretive reading skills. The projects include presenting stories, poetry, monodramas, plays and oratorical speeches.
PUBLIC RELATIONS
This complete guide to preparing and delivering the public relations speech will help you develop resources and techniques, "speak under fire," and handle the media talk.
SPEAKING TO INFORM
The projects in this manual will help you give informative and interesting speeches. Topics covered include the demonstration talk, the fact-finding report, the abstract concept and resources for informing.
SPECIAL OCCASION SPEECHES
Provides instruction in giving toasts, speaking in praise, "roasting" someone, and presenting and accepting awards.
SPECIALTY SPEECHES
Speakers must be able to speak in many situations and this manual will help. Types of speeches covered include impromptu speeches, sales presentations, introductions, inspirational speeches, and oral interpretations.
SPEECHES BY MANAGEMENT

PERSUASIVE SPEAKING (Replaced The Professional Salesperson)
This manual is a guide in giving one the ability to influence and persuade others to accept ideas, products, or services.
THE PROFESSIONAL SPEAKER
This manual is a complete guide to becoming a professional speaker. Subjects covered include speaking as a company representative and speaking for pay.
