Regain The Magic... William Corey's Psychodynamic Entertainment -Performance Specialties For Schools-
Thoughts & Facts
It may be cliché, but it remains as a constant truth; our children are our future. They represent the way our world will head, whether as leaders, scientists, researchers, artisans, dreamers, handymen, secretaries or simply as parents, themselves. Everyone is cut-out for something.
Unfortunately, in today's world, it seems that children are forced to grow up too fast and choose a life path before completing grade school. Proper role models are few and far between. And, the family structure is strained by high taxes and mounting bills, making for a difficult place where a child can be a child.
Educational systems may train the young in skills which can be used to survive in the world through reading, writing and arithmetic. Some educators try to go further than that, claiming they train children to think. However, what's often forgotten is that for one to think clearly, one must be allowed to dream and wonder. Without this ability, children begin placing limits on themselves, stifling the creative thoughts of greater possibilities and what-if's. William's performances for children, within the realms of education, permit the "if" factor and encourage wonderment (key factors of creative / critical thinking). Instead of lecturing them in what they need to know, he demonstrates important concepts on a level which they can understand, as well as retain.

Your Role
As an educator, you are no doubt aware of the truth proposed within the old Chinese proverb "Tell me and I forget. Show me and I remember. Involve me and I understand."
You are also probably familiar with the words of Frank Smith when he imparted "Thought flows in terms of stories - stories about events, stories about people, and stories about intentions and achievements. The best teachers are the best storytellers. We learn in the form of stories."
